It’s been a year since I packed up my life and moved to Georgia.
If I’m honest, this year hasn’t quite looked the way I imagined it would. I expected it to be a truly slow-living chapter, but it turned out so very differently.
If I look back at the timeline, it’s been quite a ride:
❄️ January: Waking up to the sound of the sea. Starting this journey in a hotel with my cat Izzy by my side.
💼 February: Navigating the paperwork maze, opening bank accounts, and officially becoming an entrepreneur.
🏠 March - April: The long search for a new home. Finally moving into a flat and welcoming my dog Rex to his new life here.
🐕 May - June: Spent time adapting myself and Rex to the new location. Also, started CBT to stay grounded.
🤕 July - September: A sudden turn. A leg injury sent me to the hospital and into two months of restoration.
🏥 October: Just as I was finding my stride, life had other plans. An urgent gallbladder surgery meant starting the healing process all over again.
🌲 November - December: Tried to spend the end of the year the best way possible: recovering, resting, and reflecting.
It wasn’t the quiet start I planned for, but I’m grateful to be on the other side of it all now. How was your 2025?
